Relocations are a necessary facet of life in the Australian Defence Force. The RAAF Association, being an association of ex-RAAF personnel, is acutely aware of the stresses associated with moving to a new location, including where to set up home, which school to send the children, and where the nearest childcare facilities, medical premises and shopping centres are located. RAAFANSW Publications is helping to relieve some of the stress of moving with our annual Welcome to Williamtown, Welcome to Richmond and Welcome to Edinburgh Defence Precinct Guides.
These full-gloss Guides are packed with comprehensive, up-to-date and useful information, not only for new staff being posted into locations, but for all on-site Defence contractor staff, and indeed for all personnel in the Williamtown, Richmond and Edinburgh regions – and their families.
Also included is a complete orientation to the local area along with local maps and a great "Your Guide to the Area" section for the best in dining, entertainment, shopping and more. E-copies of the magazines can be viewed by clicking on the magazine on our home page.
The vast majority of Air Force and Army relocations are scheduled for the end of each year which of course is the end of the school year. New editions of the magazines will be available in October each year, immediately following the school holidays, when Defence families subject to an end-of-year posting are starting to plan their relocation.
